ABOUT THE AWARDS
The CAPPS Excellence in Community Service Awards were inaugurated in 2016 to recognize CAPPS Member Schools that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to their local community. Awards in 2020 are in 2 categories: large schools (4+) and small schools (1-3). These awards recognize and encourage initiatives in community service, service learning, and civic engagement that have a significant impact on the communities served by our schools. 2019 Award Winners & Nominees
The CAPPS Excellence in Community Service Awards were inaugurated in 2016 to recognize CAPPS Member Schools that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to their local community. Six awards (2 Gold, 2 Silver, 2 Bronze) will be given this year in 2 categories: small schools (1-3) and large schools (4+). These awards recognize and encourage initiatives in community service, service learning, and civic engagement that have a significant impact on the communities served by our schools.
The 2019 awards were presented on April 9, 2019 in Sacramento at the CAPPS 2019 Legislative Policy Conference. Each award winner produced a short video presentation highlighting their community service initiatives.
