Surgical technologists work side-by-side with doctors and nurses in the operating room, making sure each procedure goes as smoothly and precisely as possible. They are a critical part of the operating team and employers* are seeking people to fill these roles.

“Our surgical technology students learn to become the go-to person on the surgical team,” said Pima Medical Institute Chula Vista Campus Director, Lou Osborn. “In addition to ensuring the operating room is safe, our students learn the use of physics and information technology. This expands their employment options and further prepares them for a meaningful and successful medical career.”

Pima Medical’s Chula Vista campus has already begun enrolling students for the Surgical Technology program. Those interested in applying are encouraged to tour the campus and meet the instructors by calling 888-442-5998. More information about the program may be found online at https://pmi.edu/programs/associate/surgical-technology.
