Colleen Buffington received the 34th Senate District Women of Distinction from Senator Thomas J. Umberg

Santa Ana, CA-based CNI College owner Colleen Buffington is recognized as a Woman of Distinction from Senator Thomas J. Umberg of the 34th District of the California State Senate.
The award is the first ever for the 34th District, originally set to be revealed in March during Women’s History Month and was delayed due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. According to Senator Umberg’s announcement, “Our state and nation become stronger with every additional woman who seeks and strives for positive social change. As the husband and father of two such strong women, I know full well the importance of both fostering education, independence, and confidence in women and respectfully honoring their many achievements. Only by doing so can we pave the path for the next generation of female leaders.”
Further, the certificate reads, “I am proud to award you his certificate of recognition in acknowledgement of your invaluable contributions to your community. Your diligence, leadership and dedication to education are admirable. We commend your efforts and achievements as we honor you to be our 2020 Woman of Distinction.”
“I am honored to be recognized by Senator Umberg as a Woman of Distinction in the 34th District,” said Buffington. “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the esteemed Senator Umberg for this merit. We are all responsible for making our community thrive, and he also deserves tremendous acknowledgement for his role at the highest level. I would also like to recognize the women who stand beside me in this distinction. We have come this far by linking arms and fostering strong, positive relationships to ensure every woman has the chance to succeed.”
