Legislation: We represent you! CAPPS is the voice of the sector in California. CAPPS’ staff, lobbyists, and legal counsel influence, support, or actively oppose bills that are introduced annually
in the state legislature that affect you. Along with our political action committee, the Independent Coalition of Educators Political Action Committee (ICEPAC) we help you protect your rights to operate your
school in a business-like manner.

Public Relations: Expand your reach. Our sector changes thousands of lives for the better every year. CAPPS is engaged in bringing the very positive stories of our member schools to the Governor,
the Legislature, the media and the general public. CAPPS’ member schools are featured in press releases, electronic updates, and other media formats. Your membership provides opportunities to talk about your
Institutional activities in new and exciting ways.

Direct Institutional Help: Have an expert in your corner. Whether a state law compliance issue or an educational decision to add a branch or a new program, CAPPS is here to offer expert advice and
assistance. Or we can assist you in finding the qualified expert that you need to resolve your issues.

Sector Information: Stay up to date on what matters to our sector. Member schools receive timely information regarding member updates, workshop and seminar announcements, and information
on local, state, and federal issues that affect the education sector and our members.

Member Referrals: Find the right person for the job, the first time. CAPPS provides referrals to qualified consultants
and sector professionals, such as attorneys, educational consultants, publishers, human resource companies, financing companies, certified public accountants, and other firms that specialize in working with
private postsecondary schools.

Continuing Education: Advance your team’s skills and earn CEU credits. CAPPS provides professional continuing education units in accordance with State requirements for all employees of proprietary
schools—covering legal issues, financial aid, admissions topics, placements and retention matters, owner and director issues, teacher training and a host of other topics important to the development of your
organization.

Scholarships: Leave a legacy. The Memorial Scholarship Program provides Private Career Schools with the opportunity to give back to their local community and receive well-deserved
