08/02/2012

The Chronicle of Higher Education - August 1, 2012

The U.S. Department of Education identified no problems in its recent review of the University of Phoenix’s verification policies and procedures for administering federal student aid, the university’s corporate parent, the Apollo Group, says in a document filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission today. A letter from the department, attached to the filing, announces the conclusion of the review, which was conducted from July 16 to 23. The review covered 30 randomly selected student files from the 2010-11 and 2011-12 academic years. “During the review, no findings were identified,” the letter states.
