Welcome to CAPPS
The California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools (CAPPS) is the only California state association representing a diverse range of Private Postsecondary Schools in California. CAPPS Member schools include for-profit, non-profit, religious exempt and registered institutions. Our schools also include accredited, non-accredited and approved schools as well as Regionally and Nationally Accredited institutions. CAPPS balances the needs of the entire sector, from small registered “mom and pop” schools to large publicly traded Institutions. CAPPS, since 1985, has worked with the State’s Governors, Legislature, elected officials and the numerous regulatory agencies that provide oversight to the sector. CAPPS offers strong member services in professional development as well as business and educational advice.

SB 823 HAS NOT BEEN PASSED!! NO VOTE UNTIL AUGUST ON SB 823
Despite rumors to the contrary SB 823 was not voted on July 15th and has not been passed. The California State Assembly has gone into recess and will be returning on August 4th. It is not anticipated that SB 823 will be discussed again until August. This situation may change and CAPPS members will be kept informed if it does.
