Job Description
Golf Academy of America – San Diego, is seeking to fill the position of Full-Time Academic Dean at the Carlsbad, California location.

Under general supervision, provides administrative leadership and direction to the College’s teaching and public services programs. Articulates the College’s vision of academic distinction, instructional excellence, student retention, and student satisfaction. Participates in the general leadership and direction of the College.

Requirements

  • The Dean position requires an earned graduate degree from an accredited institution. In addition, qualified candidates should have 3 to 6 years of organizational/administrative skills and educational delivery experience, including teaching experience.
  • For Deans with past experience in a skilled environment, a bachelor’s degree will be considered provided the candidate has the necessary technical skills and experience.
  • Skills:
    • Skill in organizing resources, establishing priorities, plan and evaluate programs.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
    • Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management.
    • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
    • Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources.
    • Strategic planning skills.
    • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
    • Program planning and implementation skills.
    • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
    • Interdisciplinary scholarly skills.
