The California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools (CAPPS) is dedicated to spreading the word about the role of private post-secondary education and represents the many diverse kinds of schools in California. For more than 25 years, CAPPS has been actively engaged at all levels of government to ensure our members' voices are heard and our issues are addressed. Financial Aid Advisor, MediaTech Institute – Oceanside, CA

Skills and qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Minimum 1 year of Financial Aid experience
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment & meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task, work independently and be assertive
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Counsel, advise and assist prospective students and families regarding the various types of aid available
  • Analyze student applications (FAFSA) and determine eligibility
  • Ensure accuracy of files and all financial paperwork for state and federal requirements
  • Collect, process and track financial aid documents, clearing for payment prior to class start
  • Other duties can and will be assigned
